NR-1220 – Aqueous Rust Inhibitor

NR-1220 is our medium viscosity, neutral, rust and corrosion inhibiting oil that disperses readily into water to form a creamy emulsion.
 
The film left by NR-1220 after evaporation is a self-leveling, uniform, self-healing film that is both transparent and non-tacky, as well as fingerprint neutralizing and suppressing. This film provides excellent interim protection for products in transit or in temporary storage but can continue to provide rust protection for up to several months after application.
 
NR-1220 is highly recommended for any application or any type of process involving ferrous or non-ferrous metals where the use of solvent type rust preventatives might constitute a fire hazard.
 
Metals & Potential Applications:
Interim protection against flash rusting or corrosion of freshly ground/machined surfaces, or auto body assemblies (in white)
Recommended application via spray, but can also be applied via dipping, flooding, or brushing onto surface.
 
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Cleaning of residual emulsions, compounds, oils or soaps is not required prior to application of an emulsion of NR-1220.
